Simon founded UK Landlord Tax in July 2010, having previously trained as an accountant in the corporate world before going on to develop a very successful tax practice in the 1990’s. He also built a chain of care homes in the South East as well as providing business development consultancy to a large and wide range of owner managed businesses.
From his days at university in Nottingham, to his many and varied roles throughout his career, Simon has had an undying love of property. As a landlord himself he has undertaken every conceivable type of property investment. From buying at auctions, to self-build of new property, refurbishing to rent as well to sell, off plan, HMO’s, serviced accommodation and straight forward BTL’s. Simon has a wealth of knowledge of the intricacies and nuances of property investment which he brings along with his considerable property tax knowledge in advising clients on property investment and efficient tax structures.
As Founding Partner, Simon is keen to inspire his team with his love of property and the continued growth and expansion of UKLT. His aim is to promote UKLT as the number one firm for property tax in the UK by providing an unrivalled, cost effective and specialist tax service.
Outside of the office, Simon enjoys quality time with his family and friends and particularly enjoys taking walks along the River Avon where he lives in Stratford upon Avon, with his dog, Daisy, a West Highland White Terrier. With a passion for cooking, inherited from his mother, he has a strong interest in science fiction films, and for his sins, is a devoted supporter of Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C.
